Maison Heidelberg is a summa cum laude graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Law (1993) where he graduated Order of the Coif. He served as Senior Student Writing Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review. Upon graduation, he clerked for Judge Edward B. Davis, United States District Court, Southern District of Florida (Miami Division). He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and is licensed to practice in all state courts of Mississippi as well as the Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University (1989) where he was elected to the Mississippi State University Hall of Fame upon graduation.

Before starting his own law firm, Maison was a partner and practiced with the largest firm in Mississippi in the litigation department. He has handled a wide range of litigated cases (both general and commercial litigation) throughout Mississippi and the Southeast. He has handled cases in more than eighty percent of the venues in Mississippi and has tried cases in more than twenty different Mississippi counties. In addition, he has maintained a regular trial practice in the federal courts in Mississippi. He recently served as Chairman of the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel after being selected by the federal judges for the Southern District of Mississippi. He has been married for twenty years and has three children.
